Big relief for Sirsa residents! Digital land registry starts from Monday

Haryana (Sirsa): As you are a native of Sirsa and have been facing issues with land registration for the past week, there is some good news for you. From tomorrow, which is Monday or the 10th of November, the new digital land registry system initiated by the Haryana government will become operational in Sirsa. As you are aware, this paperless system was initiated from the 1st of November, but for a brief period, there was a hold-off in Sirsa. But now everything is well.

Finally, some good news for thousands of people in Sirsa. There were some initial teething troubles with the website. But now everything has been set right by the government. Now, we will explain how everything will happen, along with what benefits you will get.

Why was the registration stopped earlier? Now you won’t need to bear twice the cost of fees.

Look, so on 1st November itself, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini initiated this paperless registry system. In areas like Sirsa, this was to take place in the third phase, but somehow there are some teething troubles in the portal. One problem in particular was related to the deduction of fees—the deduction was to happen once after applying. Later, there was another deduction for filing a minor objection.

Now, the government has modified the portal. There will not be any additional charges for objection. You just have to pay the amount only once in case you want the piece to be done. It will prove to be helpful in Haryana’s aim to become the first state in the country to get 100% online registration. Indeed, this shows ‘Digital India’—work made easy!

Government has also decided to make sure there are no delays in pending work. Priority registrations will be given to people who earlier booked online registrations. Registration for schemes like the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme will get prioritized treatment tomorrow. Later comes the turn for other properties in cities and rural areas.

“We have removed all glitches in the portal. We checked repeatedly and reported all issues. From tomorrow, eight counters will function again at e-Disha centers. Registration work will speed up,” said Pradeep Kumar, Tehsildar Sirsa. He’s correct. Now people can get appointments online using mobile phones. They can pay fees online. And everything will get accomplished with digital signatures.

What are the benefits for Sirsa’s residents? Stopping bribery, conserving time

A case to imagine or recall was that previously, registrations used to take hours to complete because documents used to get lost. But now, everything happens online—from ID to appointment online. Not only will we save time but we’ll cut down on graft. Stamp papers bought prior to online system introduction are valid until November 15th.

This system exists within Haryana’s ‘Digital Haryana’ vision. In a border district like Sirsa, land transactions are booming. Therefore, this new development will prove to be a ‘game-changer’ for investors as well as commoners. Do check if you are planning to register. In case you face any issue, you can visit the nearest e-Mitra center or contact the helpline number 1800-180-2022. This piece of good news in Sirsa will prove to be an example for the entire state of Haryana. Will you face less difficulty in registering now or are there still some queries?
