Faridabad Crime: Wife and lover strangulate husband, stage death as natural

A heart-wrenching incident has been reported in Faridabad’s NIT area. A woman, along with her lover, brutally murdered her husband. After the incident, the woman told her in-laws that her husband had died of illness, but the family discovered the truth after seeing the marks on the body.

Scheme Devised on the Premise of Treatment

Arun, a resident of Krishna Nagar Colony, used to work as a cleaner at a private hospital. According to police investigations, his wife Poonam told the police that she was taking Arun to her parents’ home for treatment last Thursday.

Sources said that Poonam had already invited her lover home. As soon as Arun fell asleep after taking medication, they strangled him.

She deceived her in-laws by feigning illness.

After the incident, Poonam called her father-in-law, Surajpal, and told him that Arun had died because of a deterioration in his health. When the family reached the spot, there were clear marks of strangulation on Arun’s neck. This made the family suspect it was not a natural death but a murder.

Wife confesses during police interrogation

Based on the complaint, the police registered a murder case against Poonam and her lover. During interrogation headed by the in-charge of NIT Police Station Naresh Kumar, Poonam confessed to the crime.

According to police, Poonam married Arun about seven years ago, but disputes between the two had increased over the past several months. Presently, police are searching for the lover and are investigating all possible angles.
