Love, Pressure & Tragedy: Woman Ends Life in Gurugram After Clash Over Marriage
Gurugram, Haryana: A shocking incident came to light when a young woman from Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad district was found dead at Lakhi Guest House near Gurugram railway station on Wednesday. The deceased, identified as Anjali, reportedly took her own life while staying with her friend Kaushal.
Married Against Her Will
According to police officer Sandeep Kumar, Anjali had been married a few months ago against her wishes, which had caused her severe emotional distress. She frequently left her home after the marriage, and a missing person report had earlier been filed by her family.
Left Home Again on November 3
On November 3, Anjali contacted Kaushal, informing him that she had once again left her home and wanted to live with him. The two first went to Delhi and, after spending the night there, checked into Lakhi Guest House in Gurugram the next morning.
The Night of the Incident
Kaushal told police that Anjali appeared deeply upset over repeated phone calls from her family. Despite his attempts to console her, she remained disturbed. Later, when Kaushal woke up, he found Anjali hanging in the room. He immediately informed the police.
Investigation in Progress
Sector-4 Police Station in-charge Narsingh stated that initial findings indicate suicide. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and no formal complaint has been lodged by the family so far. Authorities are investigating the matter from all possible angles.
