Good news for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. In the financial year 2025-26, every beneficiary will now get two free LPG cylinder refills. The first cylinder will be delivered between October and December 2025 and the second between January and March 2026.
According to the order of the Additional Commissioner of Food and Logistics Department, this facility is only for beneficiaries having Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. Those whose accounts are not linked to Aadhaar should complete the process at their gas agency and bank as soon as possible.
Beneficiaries will first pay the cylinder, then the subsidy under the scheme will be transferred directly to their Aadhaar-link account. Note that this scheme will not be applicable to DBC (second cylinder connection).
This step under the Ujjwala scheme is a big effort towards providing clean fuel to poor families. Beneficiaries are requested to link their account with Aadhaar in time and take advantage of this scheme.
